I use to shoot rangefinder cameras years ago. I use to enjoy the shooting experience. However, now I am into the mirror less cameras big time and still enjoy shooting. Street photography is still enjoyable and your subjects don’t get intimidated with the small cameras.

Have you made the transition and abandoned rangefinder cameras altogether? Chime in and let us know.

    Hi,

back in 2006 I bought an Epson Rd-1s. I already had some VC lenses but this camera made me buying in the system deeply. I have the 15/4,5, 21/4, 28/3,5, 35/2,5, 35/1,7, 50/1,5, 75/2,5 and 90/3,5 in ltm and 28/2, 50/2 in M mount.
As the Sony mirrorless cameras came out first I bought a 5N then a nex7.
Later I observed that theese cameras can easily adapt the Contax G lenses.
Now I am totally converted but will never part with the Rd and the CVs.

    Regards,

    nemjo

Yes. It is hard parting with gear you have come to love over the years. I gave up all my RF stuff except for a few lenses I keep now and that’s it. I think my 50 lux is my favorite RF lens and it works well on the Sony although not as snappy as the FE lenses.
