Now that Leica has joined the rest of the gang with a serious mirrorless camera, when will we see the likes of Nikon and Canon introduce a pro body with a real EVF and mirrorless box?

I don’t know about you, but I am done with optical viewfinders. There just is no way in hell I am going back after experiencing the latest electronic viewfinders.

Hi JT, The top two (that should ruffle some feathers) must join the
mirrorless party in the next four months. If they don’t, they will be
playing catch-up for a couple of years.

The few EVf cameras I have used have not inspired me; but the one I
have in my compact is 2 or 3 years old, so I am not really qualified to
judge. One thing that I still love about the optical SLR viewfinders, is
the ability to line up a shot and guess manual focus with the camera off.
This seems trivial until you are running low on battery power, or its
freezing and there is a long day of shooting ahead. (Or your camera is
upside down over a lake and you rather keep it off, until all is secure
    …which I did this evening)

I think the only thing I could use an OVF with now would be a fast 1.4 or 1.8 lens. Anything slower than that and it becomes difficult for me to acquire good focus manually.
